Are there any names given to each type of ship? Can you give me a brief summary of their
attacking patterns and intelligence.
There have been different names assigned for different ships, but I don另 know if they're
going to be used in the final game. Justify why X2 will beat the R-Type, Raiden, Parodius and Nemesis shoot-em-ups of the world. Why will X2 be superior? Technically we have far superior intelligence on enemies and weapons, giving a boost to the gameplay. The player never knows how intelligent the enemy he or she is fighting is. Also, strictly technically we have true-colour streamloaded parallax - not block built like the competition. We can have far more objects on screen, even in two player mode. We have three times as many weapons which, in many cases, can be active at the same time. The game doesn另 slow down. There are over 10 levels and we never once re-use the same enemies on later levels. (BIG difference compard to the competition) We叵e going to have 3D levels as well. Are there going to be start off points within the level so that when you lose all your lives you don't have to start from the beginning? Ditto the levels. If you finish level one can you start on level 2 from there on in.If you lose a life, the game doesn另 stop. You will be brought in with a new ship instantly. When you start a new game, you can start at the beginning at the level you were last at. How do you think your average Amiga demo coder would take to the Playstation? What do you think the demo scene would be like if coders could play around with the hardware? Expand on this bit if you can rather than just saying it would be great. I can另 see the democoders really liking it since you after all CAN冉 touch the hardware. It叫 also a great advantage if you're a C-Coder as the Playstation Assembly is shear HELL. IF they were allowed to play with the hardware I叮 sure there would be one or another game out there with some superb 3D graphics - they could code the math GTE processor in a better way than the libraries presently allow... Do you think it would benefit Sony and the Industry if more people had access to programming tools for the Playstation? Yes, I would think so. On the other hand, it叫 very costly to develop for the Playstation. I can另 see it being the same as the old "bedroom coding" days, when you more or less could develop a whole game from home. It would be great if that was to come back though. Andreas Tadic, The Man Behind the Game Me, Mick, Rico, Martyn started out about 7 years ago with what we all considered a "experimal to see if we can do it" Full Contact half budget game. It sold very well and money came in to finance Alien Breed.Yet again, it sold very well and pr 2fc oducing ProjectX we got a nr.1 seller. Things just toggeled along and you know about the rest of it.
